Worm Compost (Vermicompost) Tea
Feed the soil to improve your plants!
Worm compost tea can be made by mixing compost (compost from your worm bin without the worms!) with soft water (rain water works best, or you can let tap water sit overnight). If you want worm compost to brew tea, you can buy everything you need from me. Contact me with any questions.
This photo shows what you will receive when you purchase a worm compost tea kit to brew your own worm tea. For $15, you will receive 6 baggies (enough to make 12 gallons of vermicompost tea) in a nice little box. Worm tea kits make great gifts for gardeners.
Worm compost tea kits are available all year.

Buy worm compost tea kit
I ship worm tea kits and complete instructions to you by priority mail (2-3 days).
Worm compost tea kits are $15, which includes shipping (within the continental US). That buys you a box as shown above with 6 tea bags (to make 12 gallons of worm tea). Worm tea will provide a great boost to your plants. Vermicompost tea will not burn young plants and can be used indoors or outdoors. It is wonderful for heavy feeders like tomatoes and peppers! When you're finished the worm tea mix and baggie can be used as side dressing or added to your compost pile.

Fermented vermicompost tea is FANTASTIC fertilizer. It feeds both the plants and the soil. It is an all-natural & organic product that has been demonstrated to improve soil microbial activity, protect roots and other plant tissues from pathogens and disease, provide nutrients to plants in an easily absorbed form, increase available water to plant roots, and improve overall health of plants. For more information, see National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service: Notes on compost teas. The information is summarized and the page presents many informative links.
Worm tea may be used as a liquid fertilizer (poured onto the soil), applied by spraying the leaves of the plant, or both. If you choose to spray the leaves, do so in the morning when plants are most receptive to this form of feeding. If you apply worm tea when you water, the nutrients filter down into the soil to the roots of your plants where they are readily absorbed.
